Employees of Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation will be getting their festival advance Rs.5000 one week before the Deepavali festival.The advance amount will be dispersed by Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation.

On the occasion of Deepavali festival, a cracker sales expo will be inaugurated at Chennai Island Grounds. The sales of crackers will go on till 30th of this month. Permission has been sought for 120 shops.
More than 3000 buses are being operated daily from CMBT. Long distance buses to various cities are being operated by SETC. Earlier the buses from Koyambedu were operated via 100 feet road.

200 special feeder buses

The metropolitan transport corporation is set to operate 200 special feeder buses hailing from CMBT, Anna nagar depot, Tambaram Sanatorium and Poonamallee bus stand. These services will be available on 26th, 27th and 28th of October.
