Geography & Geology
Kallakurichi's lush green landscape gets its nourishment predominantly from the Gomuki River. The region's geology is largely composed of metamorphic rocks, alongside three significant groups of sedimentary rocks. The incredible Kalrayan Hills in the north form a continuous, beautiful mountain range adorned with thorny forests and unique vegetation, providing a breathtaking backdrop to the district.
