First exclusive vaccine for leprosy
Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda said vaccine for leprosy that was developed at home will be launched in September, during which 163 districts 20 states including Erode district in Tamil Nadu, one of the hot spot for leprosy in the country, will be covered.

TNPSC Group 2 services examination held
9,860 candidates attended the TNPSC Group 2 services main examination. 20 percent of the candidates did not turn up for the examination. Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission has been entrusted with the work of the filling up the vacancies of the various government departments.

The temperature will be higher by 3 degrees than usual till 23rd August
There was more than the usual rainfall in the Northeast monsoon last year. As a result, there was an increase in the groundwater table . Currently, southeast monsoon season is in progress. However, there has been no appreciable rains in any district over the last 2 weeks.
