Southwest Monsoon normal this year

It was initially forecasted that there will be above normal rainfall during the south west monsoon.
Now it is mentioned that the Southwest Monsoon will be normal this year. South West Monsoon was delayed by a week and it commenced on 8th June. The Meteorological Centre had forecasted that the rainfall this year will be satisfactory and will also be above the normal rainfall. The Skymet private weather forecaster mentioned that there was only normal rainfall this year. There was very less rainfall in Southern States. There was heavy flooding in Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, UP and West Bengal due to heavy downpour of rains.
