Superb!! The 7 days Yercaud Summer Festival begins today!!
Today, at 4pm in the evening, Tamil Nadu minister Mr. M.R.K. Paneerselvam, Mr. R.S. Rajakannappan and Mr. R. Rajendran would be inaugurating the Yercaud summer festival. It is known that Yercaud is an amazing hill station and a superb vacation spot in the district of Salem.
On Thursday, a press release was issued by the district collector Ra. Brindha Devi.
As per the press release, the 48th Summer Festival and Malak Exhibition at Yercaud would be held for 7 days from 23rd May to 29th May 2025. It added that the three above-mentioned ministers would inaugurate the summer festival at 4pm and would provide a government welfare assistance scheme for the beneficiaries.
The Horticultural department has been taking huge efforts to make the festival a grand success. It has set up a flower exhibition, fruit exhibition and vegetable exhibition etc with 1.50lakh flowers at Anna Park. The objective behind this would be to attract the public.
Other events that would take place are healthy children`s competition, a traditional food competition, kolapoetti, boat race etc. The visitors would be surprised to witness artistic performances along with the sports competitions that included dog exhibition, youth football and cricket etc.
