Chennai is likely to receive very heavy rainfall on November 29 and 30. The districts of Chennai, Tiruvallur, Ranipet, Chengalpattu and Kancheepuram are expected to receive 12 cm to 20 cm of rainfall, according to the Meteorological Department.
