New Rules for Pet Dogs in Chennai

The Greater Chennai Corporation has announced new rules for pet dog owners, which will come into effect from next month. All pet dogs must be fitted with a microchip, and owners who fail to follow this rule will face a fine of Rs. 3,000. In addition, dogs must wear a muzzle when taken outdoors. The Corporation said these measures are aimed at regulating dog ownership and reducing dog-bite incidents in the city.
