DESALINATION PLANT IN NEMMELI TO BE COMPLETED BY 2011.
The Deputy Chief Minister M K Stalin announced that work order for Desalination plant had been issued. The plant is to come up on 40 acre site at a cost Rs 533 Crore. The work is expected to start soon, has been scheduled to be completed by December, 2011 according to Stalin.

COUNSELING FOR PLUS II STUDENT. AN INITIATIVE BY GOVERNMENT.
The commissionerate for Employment and Training has initiated through BSNL a counseling programme for 12th Standard students. A student can dial Toll-free BSNL helpline - 12799 from 18th February to 256thFebruary[excepting 21st February] from their Landline and mobile phones during 10.30 AM to 2.30 PM for free counseling by experts on employment opportunities and higher education.

STALIN INAUGURATES MATERNAL AND NEONATAL DIAGNOSTIC LAB.
The Deputy Chief Minister M K Stalin inaugurated Perkin-Elmer� first Maternal and neonatal diagnostic laboratory in the country in association with Medi Scan systems. The laboratory features advanced technologies for diagnosing commonly occurring health problems.

Matriculation schools in the city to resume admission
The School Education Department two months had issued instructions to the Matriculation schools in the city not o issues application forms for admission. In a meeting held with the principals and school heads on Wednesday the department has directed the schools to resume admission.

CHIEF MINISTER TO DISTRIBUTE SPECTACLES TO SCHOOL CHILDREN.
Mayor, Chennai Corporation M Subramanian announced that the Chief Minister will distribute spectacles to 4000 Corporation School Children in function soon.
