India expects increase in internet speed by 40% in next 1 year

With the investments made on the high-speed fibre network and with latest data plans at nominal ranges made by Akamani technologies are expected to increase the internet speed by 40% and reach 1.8 Mbps. It is to be noted that, during the first quarter period of 2013, India had maximum internet speed of 1.3 Mbps.
The director of products of Akami technologies, Asia pacific nad Japan Bruno Goveas said that about 40 – 50% increase in internet speed is definitely expected in another one year thereby elevating the speed to 1.8 Mbps.
