The central government has selected Tamil Nadu for conducting the preparatory training for government employees.
The central government has been giving financial assistance for various training and programmes serving to improve the skills of government employees in different cadres.
The state government of Tamil Nadu has also been taking similar measures.
Several departments have set up their own training centres.
The central government introduced an �Intensified District Course� 2 years ago. In the 1st phase, the districts of Villupuram & Thiruvannamalai in Tamil Nadu were chosen to be given training.
Through this programme, 2000 employees of different cadres and departments were given 3 days� training regarding office procedures. 500 employees were given computer training. The training programme cost Rs. 1.1 Crores.
The central government ascertained the quality of this training programme and granted permission for further trainings to be conducted for the districts of Tuticorin, Thirunelveli, and Kanchipuram. This is in progress.
The newly formed BJP central government has decided to impart training to the new employees appointed in �A� & �B� Groups. The higher officials of the department of government employees had a round of discussion with the training officials who conducted the programme at Kanchipuram. They were happy & satisfied about the quality of the training programme.
To commence this training at All-India level, 3 states have been identified by the central government � Tamil Nadu, Jammu & Kashmir, and Maharashtra.
Based on the feedback and corrective measures if required, the training programme will be extended to all other states.
In the 1st phase of the All-India level, the training will be conducted for 5 districts. 1000 employees from each district will be selected and given 12 days� training. Test cases and analysis will also be undertaken in the training. The training would focus on imparting knowledge, on the movement of the official files, dealing with the public with good motivation and enthusiasm, and to develop leadership qualities. Training will also concern about creative skills, effective communication skills, and adaptability.
The training will help the employees build the self-confidence to serve the public with affection and clear understanding of their needs.
This training has to be imparted within the first 2-3 years of joining.
In Tamil Nadu, training is being given at the Bhavanisagar Civic Traning Centre for the newly appointed Assistants & Junior Assistants. This course is found to be suitable by Anna Management Centre.
Central government will release Rs. 1.30 Crores for this training.
A forum on this training was conducted at New Delhi on Saturday (15th November) on behalf of the department of government employees. The director of Anna Management Centre, Mr. Iraianbu, explained the training programme details.
He informed that a new infrastructure is being made at the cost of Rs. 36.23 Lakhs at the Bhavanisgare Civic Training Centre. Training programmes are being conducted for the e districts of Tiruchi, Madurai & Salem.
The training programmes at All-India level are all set to start with a new name!
