On Tuesday, Meteorological office at Nungambakkam centre logs a top figure temperature of 35.5°C and this is just 0.2°C less than from Monday’s temperature.
A mishmash of temperature, humidity, wind and various other aspects jointly
conspires to make people sense utmost torridly hot in Chennai on Tuesday.
Many private climate forecasters, who compute the existent feel
temperature by accounting in rudiments that settle on a city`s spot on the coziness
index, toted up that city`s actual feel temperature in the afternoon was around
45.5°C.
The actual temperature will be elevated if humidity goes up, said Mahesh
Palawat, prime meteorologist climate forecasting agency ‘Skymet’. For example,
if the hotness in a city like Delhi is 35°C, it will not sense as scorch as it
does in Chennai. That`s for the reason that, Delhi is remote from the sea and moisture
is minimal.
When moisture is low, perspiration fades away and maintains the body
breezy. It is just conflicting, in case of high humidity, making for lofty
levels of distress.
Weather specialists and past IMD deputy director general Y E A Raj says estimations
of real feel temperature will not toil all the time. Several other formulas also
involved in measuring the ease level, he said.
We always directly link humidity with the temperature levels, said S Bagulayan Thampi, Deputy Director General, India Meteorological Department.
