Creating e-mail addresses for the students studying in the classes 9 to 12 across TN schools!!
What is the use of having various welfare schemes and online courses etc if the school students do not know about them and do not benefit from them?
There is a superb solution for this now. The department of school education or DSE has now directed all high and higher secondary schools across TN to create email addresses for the students studying in the classes 9 to 12.
The reason for this is to make the students know about the welfare schemes and various online courses available and help them to get benefited. It is learnt that the email addresses must be created before 29th of August for the students from class 9 to 12 across all TN state run high and higher secondary schools. This was as per a circular from DSE.
It is worthy to note that under the Higher Education Guidance scheme several initiatives related to higher education are being taken for students studying in the classes 9 to 12 across government and government aided high and high secondary schools.
According to a teacher it was clear that creating email addresses would be essential for online certificate courses offered by TNSDC plus to apply for higher education and for competitive exams and to make use of the welfare schemes etc. The students from rural places across TN would be hugely benefited by this as they would get familiarised with technology. The teacher concluded that after creating an email address the students will be encouraged to send emails.
