Tamil Nadu Weather Alert: Heavy Rainfall Forecast for 6 Days from Nov 21
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rainfall alert for Tamil Nadu for the next six days, starting from November 21, 2025. The low-pressure area that persisted over Lakshadweep and the Maldives region on November 19 has now moved to the southeast Arabian Sea and adjoining Lakshadweep by Thursday morning (November 20).
This system is likely to move west-northwest gradually over the next 24 hours, triggering widespread rainfall over southern and coastal districts of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal.
