In Tamil Nadu, 75% of class 12 students have joined higher studies now!!
Higher education is very important for the student is a well known fact. Are the students and parents listening?
Still there are many plus 2 completed students who have not joined higher studies in the state of Tamil Nadu. Shocked right!!
Yesterday, 8th August, the chief minister of Tamil Nadu Mr. M.K. Stalin revealed that 75% of students from government schools who have cleared class12 have joined higher studies. The CM He was busy releasing the State Education policy 2025 yesterday. He spoke about how the enrollment for higher studies must surpass this percentage in the next year. It must be noted that the target is 100% for students to join higher studies.
Important piece of information is that as many as 901 students who have studied in the govt schools in TN have got admissions to premier educational institutions in India and abroad. Point is that of these 27 students joined IITs this year. In 2024, about 678 students who studied in the government schools joined top educational institutes. The education dept confirmed that 3 students would be joining educational institutions in Malaysia and more students would join educational institutions in Taiwan.
The deputy chief minister Mr. Udhayanidhi Stalin spoke about how it was mentioned by a union minister that Rs 2152 cr would be released only if TN would accept 3 languages formula. Truth is that the chief minister of TN rejected it.
