Free Laptops for College Students: Tamil Nadu Floats Global Tender for 20 Lakh Devices

The Tamil Nadu government has taken the next step in its Free Laptop Scheme for college students by issuing a global tender to procure 20 lakh laptops.
According to the tender specifications, the laptops will feature:
- 8 GB RAM
- 256 GB SSD storage
- 14-inch or 15.6-inch display
This initiative aims to empower students with reliable technology to support their education and bridge the digital divide.
