Metro Rail has announced the parking charges at its railway station. Om Sakthi has been given the contract at Koyambedu, Arumbakkam, Vadapalani, Ashok Nagar, Ekkatuthangal and Alandur railway stations for maintenance of parking.

Metro Rail operations between Chennai Egmore and Koyambedu by end of the year
Phase-I of Chennai Metro Rail has two corridors, a 23.1-km stretch (Washermanpet to Airport) and another of 22 km (Chennai Central to St Thomas Mount).
