Price of Jasmine Flower Reached its Peak
In all happy events including marriages and engagements, the Jasmine flower has its high importance. In recent days, the price of jasmine flowers is getting increased in the same way as the rate of gold. The Chennai Koyambedu flower market is getting flowers from various places like Thiruvallur, Kancheepuram and Thiruthani districts all through 10 to 12 mini vans and autos and the quantity is almost about 10 to 12 thousand kilos.
Because of high snowfall, nowadays only 2 to 3 thousand of flowers are getting transported by 4 to 5 autos every day. This created higher demand for jasmine flower. Last month, the flower which is sold for Rs.300 to Rs.400 has got increased to Rs.800 with in a period of month and presently for the past two days; the rate has been increased to Rs. 1000 to Rs.1200.
Due to continuous upcoming
auspicious days, high rates of jasmine flower is being expected today. Only
after the month of February, the rates are expected to get reduced.
