Windows Blue to preview next month

Windows Blue, a tweaked version of the Windows 8.1 operating system will be previewed on 26th June this year. The tweak will be a free update for Windows 8 users. Windows 8, which was launched last October, is seen as a move by Microsoft to butt in to the fast growing mobile and smart phone segment.
However, Windows 8 received a not so great response from users. A statement from Microsoft said, ‘The move is part of a goal of delivering continual updates to create a richer experience for Windows customers… A public preview of Windows 8.1 will be available starting on June 26, timed with the Microsoft developer conference in San Francisco.’
