Street-food festival over the weekend in Besant Nagar beach

Fifty chefs from across the country will take part in the food festival at Besant Nagar beach this weekend.
The Rotary international district 3230 will be organising a street food festival in South India. ‘Enjoy Arusuvai Thiruvizha’ will be held on Besant Nagar beach from October 12 to 14 between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m.
According to the members of the Rotary International District 3230, chefs from regions across the country will especially prepare the dishes to retain the authenticity and flavours from each region.
Fifty chefs have been brought down from across India for the food festival. More than 100 stalls are being set up at Besant Nagar beach as part of preparations for the event.
With the aim of contributing the proceeds of the food festival to ‘Happy Village’, that has a vision for sustained rural development, the event focuses on the continuous improvement in infrastructure of villages and the livelihood of villagers.
