They have launched three projects meant to speed up digital literacy at beginning level by taking the program to non-urban areas of India, upskill citizens living in tier two cities and others so as to encourage various innovations from local level.

Speaking about this, Robby Swinnen, general manager of Intel Corporation said that they are super excited about the way in which the plans are progressing via collaborations made with the Indian government in terms of various initiatives like Digital India all of which bring technology and innovation in our country.

One of the major steps is Ek kadam unnati ki aur which is meant to gear up providing access to technology in non-urban regions of India. The latest launch by Intel India is Unnati Kendra at Common Service Centre at Karnal which is the first of its kind in Haryana.

UK at CSC will provide complete access to digital learning centres for residents in the state. About 100 such UK at CSC are to be set by Intel India along with the working support of the government. These will be initiated in ten states across the country this year. Telangana has already got these services, to note.

The Digital Unnati website is already in existence. This was set together with CSC e-Governance Services India Ltd. All the Village Level Entrepreneurs will be able to know ways to assemble PC online and hone their technology skill.

Furthermore, with inspiration from immense response and good success for the very first session of Intel and DST innovate for Digital India Challenge. Works to launch the challenge for this year is on the go.

This challenge encourages entrepreneurship and local innovations. This innovation is spread across the nation and is open to technology solutions to mark end to real problems encountered by people.

Intel India works with full commitment to succeed in realizing truly Digital India. It has always been extending its fullest support in this vision by promoting unskilled non-urban population and innovations made, said Debjani Gosh, the Vice President, Sales and Marketing Director, Intel South Asia.
