Chennai High Court is set to introduce shortly the facility to file cases �online�!
This will obviously save time & money for the petitioners!
Computerisation activities of all High Courts & Lower Courts have been taken up and are in good progress.
The details of cases which are conducted everyday, the current status of the case, details of the judgement, etc can be seen from the website!
The facility to send SMS messages for advocates regarding the list of cases with them is also to be introduced shortly.
Along with this, plans are afoot to introduce the system for filing cases online will be introduced in Chennai High Court & its Madurai Branch.
As requested by Chennai High Court, National Information Centre is working in full swing to create the technology facilitating online filing of cases.
The facility to receive other complaints made to Chennai High Court online is also planned.
Chennai High Court Administration officials informed in this regard that if any complaints are to made about the High Court staff, officials, advocates, or judges, one will have to send a letter as per the current practice.
Now, it is planned to receive such complaints online.
Details such as action taken on the complaint can be sent as SMS to the complainant.
Enquiry on the complaint is carried out immediately and the action taken taken is sent by a letter if required.
Now, there is a facility for the petitioners and advocates to know the status of their cases on their smartphones!
Enter the Chennai High Court Website.
Select the 3rd option on the screen � �Android Apps Dispboard� and download the same to your cell-phone.
The details of the different cases going on different courts can be seen on the cell-phone screen!
Once the facility of filing cases or complaints online is introduced, it will be possible for completing various court-related activities on the personal computer/laptop/smartphone!
Public outside Chennai need not have to visit Chennai for this purpose! The petitioner can save considerable amounts of time money on this front.
This will be in action before too long, according to Chennai High Court!
