Applications can be sent on line to fill up vacancies of 1863 posts under Group-2A!

TNPSC (Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission) has announced the written test for filling the 1863 vacancies under Group-2A (without interviews).

The advertisement was released today, Monday, 12th October.

There are 1863 vacancies in various state government departments including Finance, Law, revenue, etc for Group-2A posts.

Unlike the usual Group-2 tests, the employees will be selected based on the performance of written test without any interviews.

There are 2 parts in the written tests.

In the first part, questions on general subject for basic degree qualification will be asked. This includes questions on general knowledge, current events, Geography, and Indian History and culture.

In the second part, 100 questions will be asked on General Tamil or general English.

Basic requirement for the Group 2-A posts:

Candidates must be graduates in any subject from a government approved educational institution.  Basic qualification must be in the format 10 + 2 + 3.

It is compulsory that Tamil must be one of the subjects taken in 10th Standard.

20% of the vacant posts have been reserved for candidates who have studied in Tamil Medium.

Age Limit: For all above posts, the candidates should be between 18 - 30 years of age (for the general group) as on 1st July, 2015. Candidates who belong to SC/St, etc will have no age limits.

Process of application

Applications can be made only online.

It is essential to get the photographs, signature, etc scanned while applying. The current e-mail address and cell-phone numbers must be given in the application.

Written Examination Fee is Rs. 75/- and the application fee is Rs. 50/-. The total fee is Rs. 125/-.

The candidates who have permanent registration number are exempt from this application fee.

Fees can be paid through internet, credit card or debit cards. It can be paid in the Post Offices or branches on Indian Bank.

Take copies of the applications made online.

The last date for paying application/written test fees through Banks or Post office is 13th November.

The last date for sending applications online is 11th November.

It has been announced that the written test will be conducted on 27th December.

Hall-tickets for the written test can be downloaded from internet a week before the written test date.
