Tamil Nadu Chief Minister to award chess champion Magnus Carlsen

Magnus Carlsen who hails from Norway has won the World Chess Champion. The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister will be awarding him today
The World Chess Champion competition began on 9th November. The Norwegian world number one earned his maiden world title on Friday when he defeated reigning champion Viswanathan Anand of India in the 12-game challenge match in Chennai.
Magnus Carlsen will be getting prize money of Rs 8 Crores and 40 Lakhs while Viswanathan Anand who came second will be getting Rs 5 Crores and Rs 60 Lakhs.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister will be handing over the prize money at 12.15 P M today in a five star hotel located in Anna Salai.
