Actor Robo Shankar Passes Away at 46
Popular actor and comedian Robo Shankar passed away last night at the age of 46, leaving the film industry and fans in deep shock.
A couple of days ago, while shooting in Chennai, Robo Shankar fainted and was immediately admitted to a private hospital in Perungudi. Initially, doctors revealed that he had collapsed due to dehydration and low blood pressure, and he was kept under continuous treatment.
However, his condition worsened yesterday, and he was placed on a ventilator for intensive care. Despite the efforts of the medical team, he passed away at 9.05 pm on September 18.
The official statement from the hospital confirmed that Robo Shankar was admitted on September 16 in a critical condition with intestinal bleeding and severe complications in his stomach, leading to multiple organ failure.
His mortal remains have been kept at his residence in Valasaravakkam, Chennai, for the public and celebrities to pay their last respects. The funeral will be held today at 3 pm.
Robo Shankar is survived by his wife Priyanka, who has acted in television serials, and daughter Indraja, who appeared alongside Vijay in the film Bigil.
The sudden demise of Robo Shankar has left the Tamil film industry and his countless fans grieving the loss of a much-loved entertainer.
