Tamil Nadu AYUSH UG Admissions 2026: Online Applications Open Until July 31 for BSMS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS & BNYS Courses

The Directorate of Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy has commenced the online application process for admission to AYUSH undergraduate (UG) programmes for the 2026-27 academic year in Tamil Nadu. Eligible candidates can apply online from July 13 to July 31 (5.00 pm) through the official AYUSH admission portal.

Admissions are available for Bachelor of Siddha Medicine and Surgery (BSMS), Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS), Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS), and Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences (BNYS) courses offered across government and affiliated institutions.

Admission to BSMS, BAMS, BUMS and BHMS programmes will be based on NEET UG 2026 scores. Candidates must provide their NEET 2026 hall ticket number while submitting the online application. After the declaration of NEET results, the Selection Committee will obtain candidates` scores directly from the National Testing Agency (NTA). Eligible students from government schools will also be considered under the 7.5% reservation quota.

Unlike the other AYUSH programmes, BNYS admissions will be based solely on Class 12 marks, and candidates are not required to appear for NEET UG 2026.

Applicants seeking admission under special categories, including Persons with Disabilities (PwD), wards of ex-servicemen and sports quota, must complete the online application, download the filled application form, attach self-attested copies of the required certificates and submit them either in person or by post to the Secretary, Selection Committee, Directorate of Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy, Arignar Anna Government Indian Medicine Hospital Campus, Arumbakkam, Chennai, before 5.00 pm on July 31.

Candidates are advised to carefully fill in all the required details while submitting the online application to avoid delays or rejection during the admission process.
