WhatsApp Tests New Green Dot Indicator to Show Online Contacts

WhatsApp is testing a new Green Dot Indicator feature that will make it easier for users to see which of their contacts are currently online.

The feature is currently being rolled out to Android beta users and is expected to be introduced for iOS users in a future update.

According to the company, the green dot will only appear for contacts who have not hidden their "Last Seen" and "Online" status. Users who have enabled privacy settings to hide their online activity will not display the indicator.

The new feature is aimed at helping users quickly identify active contacts and improve real-time communication within the app.
