Tamil Nadu to Launch Fully Online Property Registration from August 17

The Tamil Nadu Government is set to introduce a fully online property registration system from August 17, marking a major step towards digital governance and citizen-friendly services. The new initiative will allow people to complete the entire document registration process online from anywhere, eliminating the need to visit Sub-Registrar Offices for most procedures.

Registration Department Minister Lokesh Tamilselvan announced that the online system is expected to reduce in-person visits to registration offices by nearly 30%, making the process faster, more transparent, and more convenient for the public.

The minister also confirmed that Chief Minister Vijay will officially launch the new online property registration service. The initiative is expected to simplify property transactions, reduce processing time, and improve the overall efficiency of registration services across Tamil Nadu.

Citizens will soon be able to complete property registration digitally, making the process more accessible while supporting the state`s ongoing digital transformation initiatives.
