PDS Grievance Redressal Camp to Be Held in Chennai on January 24

The Chennai Corporation has announced that a Public Distribution System (PDS) grievance redressal camp will be held on Saturday, January 24, across 19 zonal Assistant Commissioner offices in Chennai.
According to an official press release, the camp will take place from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the offices of the Food Supply and Consumer Protection Department. The initiative is part of the state’s monthly effort to help ration card holders easily access PDS-related services.
Services Available at the Camp:
- Addition or removal of names on ration cards
- Change of address - Registration or modification of mobile numbers
- Issuance of authorization certificates for senior citizens unable to visit fair price shops
In addition, the public can submit complaints regarding the functioning of fair price shops, as well as issues related to the quality of goods or services. Officials said appropriate action would be taken to resolve grievances promptly.
Ration card holders in Chennai’s 19 zonal areas are urged to make use of this opportunity. A similar grievance redressal camp will also be conducted in Thoothukudi on the same day.
