Moderate Rain Likely in Tamil Nadu Till December 14, Says Weather Department
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light to moderate rainfall across Tamil Nadu till December 14, 2025, due to variations in easterly wind patterns. The rain activity is also expected over Puducherry and Karaikal regions from December 8 to December 14.

Fishermen Warning Issued
IMD has issued a strong wind alert for December 8 for the following regions:
- South Tamil Nadu coastal areas
- Gulf of Mannar
- Kumari Sea region
In these areas, cyclonic winds may blow at speeds of 35 to 45 kmph, with gusts reaching up to 55 kmph. Fishermen have been strictly advised not to venture into the sea during this period for safety reasons.

Widespread light to moderate rainfall is expected to continue at one or two places across Tamil Nadu, bringing temporary relief from heat while maintaining active weather conditions across coastal and interior districts.
