Chennai Suburban Electric Trains to Run as per Regular Schedule on December 25

The Southern Railway has clarified that Chennai suburban electric train (EMU) services will operate as per the regular working-day schedule on Thursday, December 25.
Suburban trains from Chennai Central will run normally towards Avadi, Gummidipoondi, Tiruvallur, Chengalpattu, Jolarpettai, and other suburban sections.
Although December 25 (Christmas Day) is a government holiday and a Sunday timetable was earlier proposed, the Railways have now revised the decision and confirmed that no reduction in services will be made.
This announcement will benefit commuters and travelers, ensuring normal train frequency and smooth connectivity across Chennai’s suburban rail network on Christmas Day.
