Posted on: 27/Dec/2025 9:49:25 AM

In Tamil Nadu, the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll was conducted from December 4 to December 14. Following this process, the draft electoral roll was published on December 19. In response to requests from voters whose names were missing from the draft list, the Election Commission has announced the conduct of special voter registration and correction camps.

To help eligible voters submit their applications, special camps are being held today and tomorrow at all polling stations across the State. Additional special camps are scheduled to take place on January 3 and 4.

At these camps, eligible citizens aged 18 years and above whose names are not included in the draft electoral roll can apply for inclusion by submitting Form 6 along with an affidavit. Voters whose names already appear on the electoral roll can raise objections to proposed inclusions or request deletion of names by submitting Form 7.

Those seeking correction of entries, change of address, replacement of voter photo identity cards, or registration as persons with disabilities can apply using Form 8, according to the Election Commission.

In Chennai district alone, special camps are being conducted at 4,079 locations. Voters are encouraged to visit their respective polling stations, submit the required forms, and avail themselves of the services provided.
