CM Stalin Launches Thayumanavar Scheme to Deliver Ration to Doorsteps

Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has launched the Thayumanavar Scheme in Thandaiyarpet, Chennai, to deliver ration items like rice and sugar directly to the homes of elderly and differently-abled family card holders.
A total of 21.70 lakh beneficiaries from 16.73 lakh family cards will benefit from this initiative. This includes 20.42 lakh senior citizens above 70 years and 1.27 lakh differently-abled persons, served through 34,809 fair price shops across the state.
CM Stalin personally visited some beneficiaries’ homes, distributed ration items, and heard their needs. The scheme aims to improve food security and support vulnerable groups by bringing essential government services to their doorsteps.
