Chennai Corporation to Conduct Special Property Tax Collection Camps from July 3

The Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) will organise special camps across the city from July 3 to July 17 to collect outstanding property tax from property owners.

According to a GCC press release, the camps will be held at all zonal and ward offices from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., providing residents with a convenient opportunity to pay their pending property taxes.

The Corporation stated that property tax is its primary source of revenue, which is essential for funding and maintaining key civic infrastructure and public services in Chennai. These include waste management, street lighting, parks, road maintenance, public health initiatives, and disease prevention programmes.

The GCC has urged property owners to make use of this opportunity to clear their outstanding dues promptly. Timely payment will help residents avoid penalties and legal action.
