The Chennai Book Fair will be inaugurated by M. K. Stalin on January 8 at the YMCA Grounds, Chennai. One of the largest literary events in South India, the book fair will run from January 8 to January 21, attracting lakhs of book lovers, publishers, writers, and students.
During the opening ceremony, the Chief Minister will also present the prestigious Kalaignar Porkizhi Awards for 2026, recognising outstanding contributions to Tamil literature.
