In this competitive world, students are forcing to get highest scores to showcase their talents.
On Friday, the helpline ‘104’ services are kept on buzzing all through
the day, students who scores even 90% in class 12, are giving their call to
share their pressurized feelings.
A counselor named Divya, received a call via 104 services, a student who
scored 1085 out of 1200, stated that he was very depressed since his father
feels that his performance is not pretty enough. Even though he got good marks,
he is not able to enjoy it, since he could not satisfy his father’s wish.
That student asked the counselor to talk his dad, but his father refused
to pick up the call, and finally the counselor consoled the student and advised
him to enhance his self-esteem.
The helpline are kept on buzzing all through the day at both the suicide preclusion
helpline Sneha and the state counseling office.
Another call received by the counselor P.Hemalatha, a boy’s father spoke
to the counselor stating his wife died a month before the exam and hence his
son got failed in all subjects except Tamil and English; his son is refusing to
come out of his room. He enquired about the re-exam applying procedures and the
exam dates.
Students have to keep in mind that, the exams were not the key thing in life and there are various stuffs to look forward, advised Hemalatha.
