1.89 Crore Science Park Coming Up at Old Perungalathur in Tambaram
A new Science Park is being developed at RMK Nagar, Old Perungalathur, in Zone 4 under the jurisdiction of Tambaram Municipal Corporation, at a cost of ₹1.89 crore. The park, which was earlier used by residents as a playground and walking space for senior citizens and women, is now being transformed into an interactive learning hub for students.
As part of the project, 72 science-based educational installations related to Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and General Science have been set up. These models will help students understand textbook concepts through hands-on practical learning.
Officials stated that the construction work is in its final stage, and the Science Park is expected to be opened for public use within the next few days. Once opened, it is expected to benefit school students as well as the local community.
