Pournami Girivalam Special Train Announced Between Tiruvannamalai and Villupuram on July 29

In view of the large number of devotees expected to visit Tiruvannamalai for the Pournami Girivalam, Southern Railway has announced a special train service between Villupuram and Tiruvannamalai on July 29.

According to the railway authorities, the special train will depart from Villupuram at 10:10 AM and arrive in Tiruvannamalai at 11:45 AM. On the return journey, the train will leave Tiruvannamalai at 12:40 PM and reach Villupuram at 2:15 PM.

The special train will halt at the following stations:

- Venkatesapuram
- Mambalapattu
- Ayandur
- Tirukkovilur
- Adhichanur
- Andampallam
- Thandarai

Southern Railway stated that the additional service has been introduced to manage the heavy influx of pilgrims arriving from Tamil Nadu and neighbouring states for the monthly Pournami Girivalam. The special train is expected to help ease passenger congestion and provide a convenient travel option for devotees visiting Tiruvannamalai.
