Moderate Rain Forecast for Six Tamil Nadu Districts on Friday: RMC Chennai
The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC), Chennai, has predicted moderate rainfall in six districts of Tamil Nadu on Friday, due to the formation of a low-pressure area in the southern region where easterly and westerly winds are converging.
According to a report by Maalaimalar, the districts likely to experience rain are:
- Vellore
- Ranipet
- Tiruvannamalai
- Kallakurichi
- Ariyalur
- Perambalur
The forecast indicates light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder, lightning, and winds reaching speeds of 30 to 40 km/h.
Additionally, from May 10 to 15, light to moderate showers are expected in isolated places across Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal, the report added.
Residents in the affected regions are advised to stay updated with local weather alerts and take necessary precautions.
