Gold Prices Drop Twice in a Day in Chennai - Down ₹375 per Gram!

Gold prices in Chennai continued their downward slide, witnessing two consecutive declines in a single day.
In the morning, the price of 22Kt gold fell by ₹150, bringing it down to ₹11,300 per gram (₹90,400 per sovereign).
However, by evening, rates dropped further by ₹225, with 1 gram of 22Kt gold now priced at ₹11,075, and 1 sovereign at ₹88,600 - marking a total fall of ₹1,800 per sovereign in just one day.
Jewellers attribute the sharp fall to volatility in the international bullion market and reduced local demand following the festive season.
