Chief Minister M.K. Stalin Inaugurates Renovated Victoria Hall, Lays Foundation for New Corporation Building
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Monday inaugurated the renovated Victoria Public Hall, one of Chennai’s iconic heritage landmarks, restored at a cost of ₹32.62 crore. The historic structure has been carefully refurbished to preserve its architectural legacy while enhancing its usability for public and cultural activities.
During the event, the Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone for a new Chennai Corporation building within the Ripon Building complex. The proposed administrative building will be constructed at an estimated cost of ₹74.70 crore and is expected to strengthen the civic body’s infrastructure and service delivery.
The twin initiatives highlight the State government’s commitment to conserving heritage structures while simultaneously upgrading urban administrative facilities in Chennai.
