Several Trains Diverted Due to Non-Interlocking Works on Vijayawada–Rajahmundry Section
Chennai, Dec 15 – Southern Railway has announced the diversion of multiple train services due to pre-non-interlocking work for eight days and non-interlocking work for one day on the Vijayawada–Rajahmundry section of the Vijayawada Division under South Central Railway.
According to an official press release dated December 15, 2025, the following trains will be diverted via Vijayawada, Gudivada and Nidadavolu (or vice versa) on the specified dates:
- Train No. 02842 Dr. MGR Chennai Central–Shalimar Special, scheduled to leave Chennai Central at 4.30 am on December 17, 2025.
- Train No. 06559 SMVT Bengaluru–Naranji Special, scheduled to depart SMVT Bengaluru at 11.40 pm on December 16, 2025.
- Train No. 22643 Ernakulam–Patna Superfast Express, scheduled to leave Ernakulam at 5.20 pm on December 16, 2025.
- Train No. 15228 Muzaffarpur–SMVT Bengaluru Special, scheduled to depart Muzaffarpur at 7.25 am on December 22, 2025.
- Train No. 12510 Guwahati–SMVT Bengaluru Superfast Express, scheduled to leave Guwahati at 6.15 am on December 22, 2025.
- Train No. 12836 SMVT Bengaluru–Hatia Superfast Express, scheduled to depart SMVT Bengaluru at 8.50 am on December 23, 2025.
