Chennai Corporation Launches WhatsApp Services for Citizens
In a first-of-its-kind initiative in Tamil Nadu, the Greater Chennai Corporation has launched a new scheme that allows citizens to access corporation services through WhatsApp.
Residents can now avail 32 different services seamlessly by messaging the official WhatsApp number 94450 61913, eliminating the need for physical visits and long queues.
According to corporation officials, the service is designed to make civic facilities more accessible and user-friendly. Through this platform, citizens can request and track various services such as certificates, civic complaints, and other corporation-related needs.
The initiative will soon be expanded to include services related to water supply and the registration department, making it a comprehensive digital platform for public convenience.
Officials stated that this digital move is aimed at improving transparency, reducing delays, and ensuring hassle-free access to essential services for Chennai residents.
