State governments may reduce the recent steep penalties for traffic violations
The revised Motor Vehicle was passed in several states. Subsequently, the traffic police have gone all-out more vigilant vehicle-checks. The state governments may decide on reducing the penalties, the central minister C. V. Gadkari.

2-way traffic to be reintroduced in Chennai Anna Salai - Trial for 2 days
The Chennai Traffic Police Department has announced that the 2-way traffic will be reintroduced in Chennai Anna Salai on today (Wednesday, 11th September) and tomorrow (Thursday, 12th September).

Severe penalties for parents in case school students drive vehicles!
The revised Motor Vehicle Act specifies that in case the school students under the age of 18 years drive vehicles, heavy penalties will be imposed on their parents! Also, driving licenses will not be given to the violator until the age of 25 years.

Applications for driving licences increases in TN
The RTOs or Regional Transport Offices in TN there is a sudden increase in the number of driving licence applicants now. Point to be noted here is soon hefty fines for violating traffic rules would come into force.

Spot fines for traffic violations in Chennai could also be levied by the Law and Order officers
GO was issued and the order empowered officers in the rank of special sub inspectors and above in the Law & Order wing of city police also to collect spot fines from the traffic rule violators on 5th Sep, 2019.
