Heavy Rains have hit Southern Chennai, OMR and ECR
The storms moved in SW direction pounding places in Tiruvannamalai with Arani getting 109 mm. Then it slowly moved up and started pounding ECR, OMR, Tambaram and southern Chennai regions.

Rains expected today in Tamil Nadu
South west monsoon rains are prevailing in Tamil Nadu. There are rains in some places of Tamil Nadu due to deep depression over west-central Bay of Bengal.An official of the Meteorological Centre has mentioned.

Rains in few places over Tamil Nadu and Puducherry
