Cold weather will decrease in Tamil Nadu
Regional Meteorological Centre in a bulletin has mentioned: Since the trough which developed near Kanyakumari did not move towards Tamil Nadu, the dry weather will prevail in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

Rains likely in Tamil Nadu
Chennai Meteorological Centre has mentioned that there will be rains today in Tamil Nadu due to convection. In Tamil Nadu, the northeast monsoon withdrew on 4th January. After this there was weak trough.

North Interior districts will continue to get cold nights for next 5 days
This pattern of cold nights is set to continue for another 5 days and then for may be a day or two (12-14 February) we may see slight warm conditions due to easterlies penetrating into interior regions of Tamil Nadu.
