Ponneri - Periyapalayam - Thiruvottiyur belt was battered a while back and the storms dipped till Thiruvottiyur in Chennai City.While moving out these storms are triggering new storms. Watchout for sudden burst of rains in City at various places.

Last night there were rains in Chennai and its suburbs. The Meteorological Centre had forecasted that there will be rains for 2 days in North Tamil Nadu due to overlay atmospheric circulation.
