IMD announces intensification of Deep Depression into Cyclone Nada
The next cyclone name in the list in North Indian Ocean basin was Nada (contributed by Oman). With Deep Depression intensifying one further notch, the IMD has named it as Cyclonic Storm Nada.

Cyclonic storm to cross north Tamil Nadu coast between Vedaranyam and Chennai
Depression which has formed over southeast Bay of Bengal is very likely to move west-northwestwards, intensify into a deep depression during next 24 hours and into a cyclonic storm in subsequent 24 hours

Cyclone warning signal hoisted at port
Low-pressure area over the south-east Bay of Bengal intensified on Tuesday, and was set to gain strength during the night to grow into a depression. In view of this The Port Department on Monday.

Heavy rainfall expected on 1st and 2nd December
Chennai Meteorological Centre has mentioned that there will be heavy rains on 1st and 2nd December in one or two places of coastal Tamil Nadu.

Before reading further, please take a look at the IMD definition of intensity rainfall. This is the 1st low pressure in this NEM moving towards Tamil Nadu coast. The previous two went away.

New depression zone formed over the Bay of Bengal
The Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that a new depression zone has formed over the Bay of Bengal . Due to this, rains are expected for 4 days in Tamil Nadu starting from 1st December.
