The cyclone which is centred near Chennai will cross tomorrow morning (2nd December). This cyclone has been named Nada. In view of this cyclone there will be rains from today morning in Chennai and Tamil Nadu coastal districts.

This is not the cyclone EYE, the latest satellite image shows the exposed LLC (Low Level Circulation) due to the wind shear and you can see the intense outer bands over Tamil Nadu. We can expect some clouding.

Just see the radar picture of Chennai, we can see very intense bands off Chennai coast. The rains have already started over Mahabalipuram belt and as the cyclone nears Tamil Nadu, these bands will fall over Chennai.

The Chennai Meteorological Centre has warned that the recent low depression zone formed over the Southeast of the Bay of Bengal has deeply intensified and there are possibilities that it may develop into a storm.
