Cyclone Nada passed off peacefully through Karaikal coast
The low depression formed in the southwest Bay of Bengal near Chennai tuned to cyclone on Wednesday. The cyclone was named NADA.

As the rain bands, move away sun shows its face over Chennai
The skeleton remains of Cyclone Nada is seen without any precipitatable clouds (see pic) and is lying off Nagai coast. The one good strong band which fell over Chennai gave meaningful clouds.

Chennai and nearby coastal areas are getting steady rains
Right now in Mandaveli, steady rains are lashing and at times its getting heavier. This pattern of rain (some spells and then break and starting again) in Chennai is set to continue ECR and OMR are getting good rains.
