The wind pattern is perfectly alingned towards Chennai and its creating convergence at lower levels. The storms size are small, hence it can not rain at widespread area over the city.

As reiterated by Skymet Weather, light rains have commenced over Chennai once again. Rain bearing clouds have been engulfing the city since early afternoon.

Only Chennai and its lakes region got some heavy rains from the Cyclone Nada with Mahabalipuram topping the charts getting 111 mm and nearby Tirukazhukundram 66 mm,

The low depression formed in the southwest Bay of Bengal near Chennai tuned to cyclone on Wednesday. The cyclone was named NADA.

The skeleton remains of Cyclone Nada is seen without any precipitatable clouds (see pic) and is lying off Nagai coast. The one good strong band which fell over Chennai gave meaningful clouds.

Right now in Mandaveli, steady rains are lashing and at times its getting heavier. This pattern of rain (some spells and then break and starting again) in Chennai is set to continue ECR and OMR are getting good rains.
