There is no change in the landfall location. It will be somewhere between Mahabalipuram and Nellore close to Chennai. This is going to be a rain filled cyclone unlike Nada.

Cyclone Vardah is a Severe cyclone now and as it moves towards the South AP/ North Tamil Nadu coast, it will weaken as a normal Cyclone due to wind shear / dry air and there is a good consensus among.

Vardah is a Severe Cyclone now and massive in size. Its not going to come with same intensity to our coast as u can see in one of the image that dry air will move in at one stage and will weaken the Cyclone.

I have seen newspapers and international news sites reporting over 130 km/hr winds. Yes the Cyclone is going to intensify in open waters but as it nears the coast it is expected to weaken a lot.
